I’m starting on a study series of the human anatomy, and I just finished noses. Next will probably be ears, since I want to save the eyes or hands for last. I love eyes; the eye is one of the most interesting and expressive part of who we are, so I most definitely want to take great care in perfecting my representation of it.

I’m also trying to find the grit within myself to really start finishing some of my old sketches and keeping them on here! Sometimes the inspiration and determination burns like lava down my veins, and others I’m dry as the Sahara desert and PROCRASTINATE! I really have to do it though, since I’m itching to leave my tiny community college campus and branch out to an art school or something.

I’m also trying to help my friend find her own artistic value; she doesn’t think she’s very good, especially since she hasn’t drawn in years. But she is good, her art is unique and special and if she just keeps practicing at it she’ll get better and better. I told her that drawing is like wine, it ages well, and while some wines have been aging longer than others, eventually hers will catch up and her own brand will taste unique and wonderful.

I also had a recent heartbreak and I’m finding that I’m stronger than I ever thought I was. It hurt but it was a wonderful experience, I cherish those times and am now ready to move on. Plus, listening to the blues helps a lot! lol. And because of that experience I’ve found a new depth to my art. I’ll call it my blue period. Haha.

Well, I’m off to finish more sketches and post them before certain people with pitchforks and torches chases me down.
